Hello,

I have created a setup application in .NET in which I have added a
condition while installation for DirectX 9 on the machine. It is
successfully checking the condition. Now, I want that if it is not
installed then the installation should start the DirectX 9
installation automatically. What should I do to accomplish the same?
Thanx in advance..

Pallavi.

Pallavi,

You can get information on calling the DirectXSetup() API in the DirectX 9.0
SDK.  There is a setup example under the Samples\C++\Misc directory.  This
function is used to install the files located in the REDIST directory that
is included in the SDK.

Other questions might be better answered in the
microsoft.public.win32.programmer.directx.sdk newsgroup.

Thanks,
Gary Yukish

Hello,
Thx for your reply..

But, let us suppose that I want to install any other EXE after
checking that it does not exist on the target platform, what should I
do?

Thx..
Pallavi.
