VS .Net Enterprise Architect is supposed to include SQLServer 2000 but
I can's find it on any of the CD's I received. Anyone know where it
is?

Larry,

Did you receive any of the server media?  In the VSNET EA package there
should be 2 CD boxes... 1 with the visual studio program CDs and the other
with the server software.  If this did not come in the box, I'd try
exchanging from whomever you bought from.  If you have troubles doing this,
you can also contact our Microsoft's Product Order Desk at 1-800-360-7561.

HTH,

Alden, I am having exactly this kind of trouble, and the Microsoft rep told
me there was nothing they could do, i.e., I bought VSNET EA (indirectly) and
the server software was *not* included. I was told I can buy SQLServer 2000
Developer Edition for about $50, but that there was no way I could obtain
the rest of the Server package from Microsoft, i.e., that my only hope is
the cooperation of the vendor from whom I purchased the software --
cooperation that has thus far been nonexistent.

If you know any better, or can help, please!!! let me know.

Well, now the vendor claims that it is his understanding that for the 2003
version of Visual Studio .Net Enterprise Architect, the server package is
downloaded during the installation process. He says they have looked at
another retail box and the contents are the same.

Yet when I spoke to the Microsoft rep, he seemed to indicate that I should
have received the server software as I already mentioned and as seems to be
indicated at (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/howtobuy/choosing.aspx).

Have I/we misunderstood something? Can others who purchased Architect
comment as to what was and was not included?

Thanks.
