Alexander,

The Windows Component Update portion of setup is designed to ensure proper
operation of the Visual Studio product.  During this time, Setup checks for
instances of several different products required by Visual Studio .NET
2002.  Setup will prompt you to insert your "Windows Component Update" disk
at the appropriate time and will install the needed updates and products.
Once WCU is complete, Setup will move on to steps 2 through 4 of the
installation.
