I have Visual Basic 6 on my machine now and will continue to program in that.
I also want to start programming in Visual Studio 2005 using visual basic
.net.
Can I install Visual Studio 2005 on the same machine as VB6 and still use
VB6 in the future?
Thanks for any insight on this.

Although I've not done this myself, I've seen numerous reports in various
groups indicating that there are no issues. For corroboration, try a Google
Groups search on "VB6 and Visual Studio 2005 on same PC", and you'll see
comments like "I have no trouble with VS6, VS2003, and VS2005 all on the
same machine".

Not a problem at all.  I have VS 6, VS 2003 and VS 2005 all installed
side-by-side.  They all run via different runtimes/frameworks and are
designed to be able to do this.
