Changing the default web browser

Whenever I try to start/debug an asp.net application in VS.NET 2005 it
attempts to open my site in a web browser that is no longer installed on my
machine. As a result an error dialog comes up and the process of starting the
development web server and debug process fails.

How can I point IE at a browser that exists, or at least get it to load
pages in the default system browser (currently set to IE in the Internet
Options control panel).

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Thank you posting!

Just right click one page file in the solution explorer, select 'Browse
With...' in its context menu. Then in the upcoming "Browse With" dialog
window, choose the web browser you liked and click 'Set as Default' button
to achieve it.

I hope the above information helps, if you have any questions or concerns,
please do not hesitate to let me know. I am standing by to help you.

Thanks!

Best regards,

Thank you.

That seems an odd place to have an application-wide default set --
especially given the "Web Browser" section in the program's Options section.

yes Jeff. I do understand your concern, that setting should be in the Tools
| Option dialog window. But I think the current setting location would be
convenient for the developers if they want to test the pages in different
web browsers.

Thanks!
