Trying to install Visual Studio 2005... Setup suddenly crashes during
"Setup is loading installation components".
To be exact, it just hangs there and does nothing when the progress bar
reaches about 25% and when you try to move that small window, it
vanishes (together with the whole process).
Stopped 85% of the running services, all applications, antivirus, stuff
in the systray, deleted everything in the temp folder, removed
everything that has anything to do with previous versions of VS.NET and
the .NET Framework - nothing helps.
When I run windows in Safe Mode and then try the problem does NOT occur
(it passes that stage and gets to the installation part), but the damn
MSI service does not run in Safe Mode, so nothing gets installed!
The last line in dd_vserror80.txt is:
[04/11/06,00:30:49] setup.exe: [2] ISetupModule::SetManager() failed in
ISetupManager::LoadSetupObjectGuid() : vs_setup.dll
BTW, I tried VC# Express as well, same thing happens.
Any ideas???

Hi!
I have the same problem...
Have you fixed it already?

Hi,
I got the same error but even in the much early stage:
"Suite Integration Toolkit Executable encountered a problem"
This error even happened in the first setup screen.
