Can't install VS 2005 RTM because after selecting to install VS.NET 2k5 it
says "Suite Integration Toolkit Executable has encountered a problem....."

I already used the uninstall tool from Microsoft, deleted files, folder and
registry entries from VS.Net Beta 2 and did a clean boot to install, but with
no luck. Also I searched around this error also occured to some people who
did a fresh install. Right now I'm pinpointing that the error have something
to do with Microsoft Office. I'll try installing again using the latest
Microsoft Office version.

However I doubt that this might work. I wish Microsoft do something about it
as soon as possible.

Same thing happens with me.

Check your system info. I started smelling that there is problem with
the XP Version - 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2, v.2096 Build 2600 whose HAL
says that its a RC1(theoretically beta) not a full RTM release.

Also my DirectX became defaulted to 9.0b instead of normal 9.0c and
interestingly I couldn't upgrade it to 9.0c. For some correlated reason
some games(NFS U2) are also crashing which are directly depending on
9.0c features.

Anyway this is my hunch. I think I have to unstall a clean XP SP1 RTM
and then stack latest SP2 on it.

Thanks
D.B
