How do I set the solution explorer to be the default tab when Visual Studio .Net opens up?  It was when I installed but for some reason, now when I open up a project, the properties explorer is the default tab that shows.  Thanks

I'm a bit confused by your references. The Solution Explorer and Properties
are two separate windows, not tabs in a single window.
Try this to restore your default display:
Tools->Options, then click on the "Reset Window Layout" button.

Thank you for your suggestion. I should not have used the word 'tab'. I have set the solution explorer window and the properties window to display full length along the right hand side of my side - therefore, the words 'solution explorer' and 'properties' appear as tabs at the bottom of my screen.  Sorry for the confusion.
