Every time I try to install the 2.0 Framework it dies with the error message

Error 1935:An error occured during the installation of assembly
Microsoft.VC80.CRT Public Key token 1fc8b3b9ale18e3b

I dont understand why it wont install?

I can see it has something to do with msvcr80.dll and msvcp80.dll but have
no idea what is going on.

Help...... Thanks!

Help will be most likely found in the dedicated groups for Visual Studio
2005 here if you don't get help here:

http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp=whidbey&slcid=us

There is a Setup NET Framework group under Other components.

Peter, thanks but I'm not sure this is helping us folks.  I checked that
forum and noticed that they were only averaging a few posts each month.
That's very low volume.

Have you considered posting your problem or question there to add to the
volume?
If many of the folks posting VS 2005 questions here did that, the volume and
readership would increase with (I believe) the end result being more and
better information for us and for the product team.
I also offered the suggestion because I notice that many VS 2005 (Beta)
questions go unanswered in the vsnet and dotnet groups. Just trying to help.
