I am trying to install VS 2005 beta on Windows 2003 Ent. Edition, the install
hangs half way though the "Setup is loading installation components, This may
take a minute or two". Does anybody know what might be causing this?

Mine is doing the same thing.  It gets about 3/4 the way through that screen
and just sits there.  I have beta 1 installed.  Do I have to remove that
first?

Peter I know you were just trying to help but why would we look somewhere
else other than this news group.  I thought the point of this newsgroup was
to provide support to msdn subscribers.

I am a little frustrated with this group.  It is posted in several places on
the msdn site that we get unlimited support through this "managed" group and
I have posted two issues in the last few months and I never got a single
response from them, not even a "we will look into this and get back to you."
One of them was pretty simple.

OK,

Sorry,  I see why you would push over there.  That makes sense.  What still
doesn't make sense is why I have posted 6 topics and none of them have been
answered.

Later!!

I'm not trying to "push" anybody anywhere. I thought the groups dedicated to
the beta software you are using might be more helpful.
Also for the support from Microsoft, I believe there is a procedure you must
follow to get the "guaranteed" support from Microsoft. Unfortunately, I'm
not familiar with the details. Hopefully, somebody who is will read this
thread and help.
