I've been trying to install Visual Studio.Net 2003 Enterprise edition.
I just upgraded to SP2. I know that it's not supposed to work, but
perusing through the forums, i've seen proof that folks have gotten it
to work. my machine's specs are as follows;

p4 2.4ghz
768 mb ram
XP SP2
latest bios

I tried to install from burned cd images. i even tried to install from
the harddrive. getting around the prerequisites was a little
frustrating. i finally just used explorer and ran the setup. so now
whenever i run the visual studio setup it's on the 2nd entry, the
"install" part. i hit install and the whole thing just quits. i waited
to see if something was going on, but nothing.

i found some good posts that i'm going to try when i get home which
are the following;

stop iis service
activate msi loggin, and find out what died
run setup from command line with the /NO_BSLN_CHECK

any other suggestions are much appreciated. thanks in advanced. i'm
only hoping that i can get this running before they release the patch
for sp2...who knows when that will be.

I suppose you have checked for viruses? Do you have any earlier versions
installed?
I am having a problem unistalling, updating and everything else. sorry
