Install VSTO2005 after Office 2007?

OS:        XP Media Center Edition SP2, version 5.1.2600
System:  Core 2 Duo 5500, 2gb RAM

I installed Office 2007 Pro Trial.  Not the Beta, but the release version.
But I can't install VSTO2005.  Setup informs me that I don't meet the
minumum
requirements.  It says the minimum required prerequisite is Office 2003
SP1.  I have Office 2003 Pro, but would rather not have to uninstall 2007,
install 2003, then re-install 2007.

I don't see anything on MSDN about this.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
-Larry

VSTO 2005 requires Office 2003 SP1. There's no way to get around that.

VSTO 2005 SE requires Office 2003 or Office 2007 + either VSTO 2005 or Visual Studio 2005.

If you want the ability to create VSTO document projects, you need VSTO 2005 and thus you need Office 2003 SP1.

I have the same problem but can wait a bit. Any chance this will be resolved
when O2007 is released? Or would I still need to jump thru these same hoops?

Thanx in advance.

Office 2007 has already been released. It's just not in retail stores yet.

The "SE" version of VSTO 2005 does not include document-level templates,
only templates for application-level add-ins. For document-level templates,
you need the original VSTO 2005.
