oops, 2008, Actually, what I want is to have tabbed documents. In 2003 I
could drag the document tab and create either a second tabbed
horizontal or vertical window. So I would end up with 2 areas that
contain one or more tabbed docs. I definitely don't want the "multiple
documents" effect. I haven't used VS 2003 in a while, but I am pretty
sure I could get this effect.
thanks

If this still exists in 2008 (I use 2005), right-click on the document tab
and choose New Horizontal/Vertical Tab Group. You can also just drag the tab
and when you drop it a menu pops up. Again, if 2008 supports it like 2005.
(This assumes I understand what you're trying to do....)

You must have a screwy installation, because I just tried it and it works
the same in 2008 as it did in 2005. Are you doing ASP.NET development, by
any chance? Because I don't do much of that and I tested with a class
library project and a WinForms project.
