Visual Studio 2003 Powertoys

I have found many websites that refer to Visual Studio 2003 Powertoys.
Like this one:
http://sharptoolbox.com/tools/powertoys-for-visual-studio-net-2003

Unfortunately they all refer to
http://www.gotdotnet.com/team/ide/#powertoys which no longer exists and
redirects to http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/
I have tried searching this site and all it has come up with is and
article on MSDN that refers me back to gotdotnet.com which has been
depricated:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-nz/magazine/cc300778(en-us).aspx

I have found the link to download the power toys pack installer for VS
2005, but I need it for VS 2003 as the project I am working on is in 2003,
and the client wants to keep it that way.

Particularly I'm after the VSMouseButtons plugin so I can use the back
button on my mouse to navigate back through my code.

Any help in hunting down the download for this would be much appreciated.

Hello Philip,

It seems VSMousButtons plugin has been removed from MSDN website.
I will check our internal library list. If I can get it, I will pass you
information as soon as possible. Thanks.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any more concern. We are glad
to assist you.
Have a great day,
Best regards,
Wen Yuan

Hi Wen, it appears I got my terminology slightly wrong. The plugin is in
fact called "vsmousebindings". (I'm pretty certain you knew what I meant).

Can you let me know if you find this plugin. Thanks.

Hello Philip,
Thanks for your waiting.

I know which plugin you are after. But, I'm afraid to say I cannot find it
in our internal list, either. It has been removed. Maybe this is because
it's too old. It seems MSDN website only has migrated popular samples
(dating back to the beginning of 2007) from gotdotnet website. I suggest
you may send a feedback to MSDN website to check if they stil have any copy
of vsmousebindings for VS 2003 so far.

Hope this helps.

I have done this Wen and am still waiting to hear back.

Are there any other forums you can suggest I post in? Maybe one where a
general member of the public might have a copy of the file rather than an
official Microsoft Support personel?

Any more info or places you can search to find this would be much
appreciated.

Hello Philip,

Did you get any reply from MSDN website so far? I searched on internet
about two hours, but all links I can found refer to the gotdotnet website.
I suggest you may also try to post it in MSDN Forum. Many VS guys actively
reply in that forum. Maybe someone has a copy of that tool.

Hi Wen, I have had no reply from the MSDN website so far. I have also had
no replies on forums.microsoft.com.

I can't understand how this is not available when it used to be on
gotdotnet. I really don't understand the logic for taking this site down,
and am finding it frustrating that this plugin is no longer available. Are
there any further steps you can take to get this actioned by someone with
access to the backups, history or archive of gotdotnet?

Hello Philip,
Thanks for your reply.

I have contacted Powertoys team. They are looked into by people who use to
work on the team for PowerToys 2003, I'll let you know if they find a
resource online or whatever the answer is. If you have any more concern,
please feel free to let me know if you have any more concern. We are glad
to assist you.

Have a great day,

Hello Philip,

These downloads were on GotDotNet.com, and now that site is gone as is many
of the downloads. Some people here have the old VSMouseBindings sample on
their hard drives, but to get it online they would have to post it to Code
Gallery. This might take a week or two due to their priorities. I expect we
might see this online in a week or so, and I'll let you know when it is.

Thanks in advance. If you have any more concern, please feel free to let us
know. We are glad to assist you.
