Getting the main IDE window (VS2008) in the foreground

If I un-dock a few windows (e.g project browser, properties etc.) these will
always stay on top of the main IDE. As such they sit in the way of the main
IDE. The reason why I want to un-dock these is to create more viewing space.
I like switching windows by clicking them to the foreground.

I know I can make windows auto-hide themselves if docked. But my prefered
mode of working is to have them stacked/scattered on my desktop and bring
them to the foreground by clicking and/or ctrl-tabbing.

Is there a setting which allows the main IDE window to be on top?

Hello unko,

Thanks for your waiting. but, I'm afraid to say the answer is no. There is
no setting to make main IDE windows be on top. If you un-dock a window,
this window will always stay on the main IDE. This is by design. thanks.

Have a great day,
Best regards,
