Using Visual Studio 2005, if I launch my app using CTRL + F5 (start without
debugging) it puts HTTPS:// in front of the URL instead of HTTP://, which
then causes a failure.
Started happening out of nowhere. Happens on all website projects. I first
realized something was wrong when I tried to debug and got "Unable to start
debugging on the web server. The underlying connection was closed: An
unexpected error occurred on send."
This is not a debugger problem. I can start the app from IE and then attach
the debugger to it. Like I said originally, I can't launch the app
successfully with CTRL + F5. Why is the HTTPS being injected into the address
and how can I get it back to HTTP?

What is the server setting for the web project?
Right-click on your web project and choose "Property Pages". Click the
"Start Options" node, and see which radio button is selected in the "Server"
group.
