vs2005:

I drag a new control onto an existing web form in the designer, do some work on
it, but the control is never really created. When I open the form again, the
control and all my work is gone. I just noticed this, and it appears to happen
every time. The designer has a major bug.

What is going on here? I don't even know how to search for this.

(If this is a bug I am sure that it will never be fixed as they are rolling out
vs2008. Hey, they don't have to fix bugs, just sell a new version.)

This is a constant problem today.
Surely someone else has seen this problem?
I can't even wire up a button click handler, the designer saves nothing to the
aspx file.
