Is there a way to change the default action for files in solution explorer. I
rarely ever want to open the designer view, I'd much prefer to get to the
code.
I seem to remember that there was a way, but how...?

I know of no way.  Instead of double-clicking the form, right-click choose
View Code.  Of if the item is already selected, press F7.

Hope this is not too obvious, but I know of no way to control the explorer.
