I'm having this same issue. When i'm in HTML mode if i change
anything the Error List window pops up. I have no add-ins installed
and am running Vista Enterprise with VS2005 sp1 installed. Also, when
i close the Error List it pops back up as "pinned" very annoying.

I have the exact same issue. It seems to be the ASP.NET web forms error
checker. If I'm in the middle of typing an ASP.NET tag and pause for say, 3
seconds, the error window will popup. For example type this
<asp:button runat="server" i
Instead of typing the final d character for the ID attribute just sit there
and eventually the error window will popup. It'll even popup if it's closed,
which is super annoying! The error list won't popup unless you're typing a
server tag so the runat="server" attribute is important to trigger this bug.
