What is included in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Pro?
By that I mean:, does it come with a compiler (for ??? .NET ???)?

I am thinking about taking a .NET or C# class and I trying to understand
what I would need to buy as a student.

Thanks, Tracey

BTW
I had taken a VB class years ago and purchased Visual Basic 6 Pro AE (which
came with MSDN)
The installation gave me the impression is was Visual Studio 6

I had also taken a C++ class years ago and purchased Visual C++ 6 Pro AE
(which came with MSDN)
The installation also gave me the impression is was Visual Studio 6

If I had NOT taken both classes I would have thought that Visual Studio 6
came with a compiler for a particular language.
The online help also came with documentation for Fox Pro, Inter Dev, and J++
even though I had never purchased these particular "products".

I doubt you'll have to buy anything though, since you can just download the
Express Editions for free. They're particularly aimed at students.
