Hi

I have a web solution (2005) with 22 projects, and very often when there is
an error (simple error) it crashes (I offered about 20 times the opportunity
to send Microsoft error report)

Is the installation corrupt or is it related to some settings or possibly it
is related to the Virtual Web Server?

Thank you,
Samuel

Hi Samuel,

I've seen similar problems with the VS.NET IDE crashing and offering
multiple "send to microsoft" attempts.  In my scenario, I was working
with VS.NET 2005, VB.NET and web services (.asmx).  The error was
related to the VB.NET background compiler.

Installing VS.NET 2005 SP1 seems to improved the stability quite a bit
with the VB.NET projects.  I can't seem to find an official "sp1 fixes
vb.net instability" documentation, but have found similar stories:

The SP1 install takes a rather long time to install.  It took me about
an hour to install it (P4 2.66ghz).

Good luck,
Damon
