Hello,
I use VS.NET 2005 Team Foundation with Team Foundation server as source
control. When I get latest version of sources I couldn't see what files have
been updated. In previous version (VS.NET 2003 + VSS) it could be seen in
Output window when selected Source control in combo box. Why the output is no
more written there for latest version? I try to find another window but with
no success.
How can I see what changes I update from source control in VS.NET 2005?

Thnaks

Hi eXavier

First of all, I'd like to confirm my understanding of your issue.
According to your description, I understand that you want to know how to
get the latest version of sources in VS.NET 2005 Team Foundation.
If I misunderstood anything here, please don't hesitate to correct me.

To accomplish it, we need a local workspace first.
After that, you can get either Latest Version or Specific Version from the
Workspace which you created before.
You may get some more steps from the articles below.

About how to create a workspace, you can refer
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms181384.aspx
[How to: Create a workspace]

And about how to get the latest version of source, you can refer
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms181385.aspx
[How to: Get the Source for your Team Project]

If there is anything unclear, please feel free to post in the NewsGroup and
we will follow up.

Hello WenYuan,
it is misundarstanding, I know how to get latest version but what I miss is
that I can't see, which files were updated. I mean, when I already have
source files got from source control, then another team member changes e.g.
two files. Then I "Get latest" and VS updates the two files, I would like to
see what files were updated from source control..
As I wrote, in VS.NET 2003 I could see it in Output window but in VS.NET
2005 (Team Ed.) I can see in output window only errors (e.g. when I want to
check out file that is alredy checked out by someone else)

Is it bug or is there another way how to see what the Get latest function
has done?

Regards
eXavier

Hi eXavier,

Thanks for you reply,

I have tried to reproduce the issue on my VS.Net 2005 Team Foundation
Server.
I'm afraid that the VS.Net 2005(Team Ed) can't provide such report what
files were updated from source control.

So we suggest you can submit this feedback to our product feedback center,
our development team may communicate with you directly on the issue there:

Wen Yuan
