Hi,

If I start a multi-line comment in a c# file with /* then when I press
enter, I get an asterisk indented on the next line.
I want to prevent this from happening, as it's getting really annoying.
I've been through all the settings but I couldn't see one that might
change this behaviour - although I would have thought it should be there
somewhere!

Can anybody tell me how to change this behavoiur?

Thankyou.

Paul

Though is annoying for you, but is the default mechanism given for the IDE,
which you can't change.

My suggestion to you is, when ever you wanted to terminate the comments,
just give SPACE STAR SLASH (' '*/), which will automatically disable the next
line with star (*)

What do you say?

That's somewhat annoying... most of the IDEs that I've used in the past have
allowed you to format your comments to your specifications.

I suppose that the standardized format may increase readability, but it
appears that coders will simply use another comment type or simply avoid
commenting altogether.
