My VS 2005 toolbox gets confused and shows the same Icon for all or sometimes
most controls, and it's not always the same icon. The controls themseves are
correct when placed on a form. Is there a fix for this?

Hi Lee,

Right-click on the toolbox and select "Reset Toolbox".

If the problem persists, report a bug in the MSDN Product Feedback Center:

Well that tossed out my custom tool tabs etc. But the icons are reset for now.
