Web Part Templates

I want to use a Web Part template, I have downloaded the
WebPartTemplatesforVSNetSample2.exe file and run this. It comes up saying the
installation was successful.

When I run the setup.exe file in the extracted folder I get the following
error:
Visual Studio .NET must be installed before you can install the Web Part
Temp-lates for Visual Studio .Net.

This is my development computer which I have had VS .NET 2005 on for some
time and I have been developing on successfully.

Is this file only for VS2003 or is there some sort of problem?

Hi Mal,

>Is this file only for VS2003 or is there some sort of problem?

I am afraid so. The VS2005's official name is Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.
The VS.NET only refers to the product Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2003 and
Microsoft  Visual Studio.NET 2002. The sample you downloaded  is not
designed for VS2005.

Thanks!

Thanks, that then begs the question, is there one for 2005?

Hi Mal,

I am afraid currently there hasn't a VS2005's web part sample. :(

Thanks for your understanding.
