Does anyone know if Visual Studio (IDE) or SQL Server 2005's Management
Studio has an easy way for generating a new GUID for you?

Borland Delphi IDE had a key combo, ctrl+shift+G, that created a new guid
and put it on the clipboard.  It was very handy then to paste where ye need
it.  I can certainly write something which I'll do but thought I'd check if
VS already supports this?

Thanks!  In fact that's what I just finished and it works great!

Hi Jay,

I just dropped in on this thread.

Tools > Create Guid wasn't on my menu. In case someone else is looking for
it I was able to add it via Tools > External Tools... > Add > Command >
Browse to \Common 7\Tools (mine came up there) and choose Guide.exe.

I didn't know about that...thanks.  Conflicts with my new External Tool
called Create GUID.  :)  I will check it out though.

Thanks to both Cindy and Jay!
