Hi all, I had a web app on 1 server that I moved to another server (simply
copied files over). Intellisense used to be working, but now it no longer is
working. Any ideas why? When i am in the page.aspx.vb page, I dont get any
intellisense at all. I dont get intellisense on the .ascx.vb pages as well.
Whats up?

TIA!

OK. I think i figured it out. When you add assemblies under the compilation
tag in the web.config, that is when I lose intellisense. Any ideas?

I haven't experienced such scenario in my machine, based on the
description, do you mean if you add any .NET reference to your website
solution, the VS2005's intellisense will not work. Then how about if you
remove those assembly references of your website solution, does the
intellisense work again?

By the way, I suggest you can try to delete/remove the .suo file of that
copied solution for a test.

Thanks!

Best regards,

Gary Chang

If I add an assembly reference in the web.config file under the
<compilation> tag then intellisense for the web app stops working.

Hi,

I am afraid we cannot repro this scenario in our local machine, would you
please provide the detailed repro steps to us for research?

Thanks for your understanding!
