Hi,

Is there any option to make VS open files by collapsing to definitions
by default?

For the c++ editor, I just discovered a tool that will let you create
your own outlining blocks, which are collapsed by default (see King's
Tools on Code Project). I haven't personally come upon any option to
do this with the default outlining microsoft provides.
