Hi,

in a new VB.NET WindowsApplication, add the following code in Form1:

  Function x() As Form1

  End Function

In the Function, type

       Return New Form1 ( _<enter>
       )<enter>

Result:
     Return New Form1
     Return New Form1

Can anybody confirm this?

I can't reproduce this, I get the following:

 Function x() As Form1
   Return New Form1 ( _
   )
 End Function

Thanks for your response. Did you enter it the way I described? Means: Type
"Return New Form1 ( _" then press <enter>, then type ")" and press <enter>
again? Do you also use VB 200*3*?

Yes on both counts.

Strange... I can reproduce it every time.

Do you have any add-ins running in Visual Studio? Does it happen on all
project types, e.g. Windows Application, Console Application, Class Library,
etc.?

No

Yes, it happens in all project types.

I also asked in the German group: Some can reproduce it, some not (all
version 2003).

BTW, it is not only a display problem (maybe graphics driver). The text is
really there twice.

Hi Armin,

Yes, I can reproduce this on VS 2003.

I also tried the latest build of the upcoming next VS version, and I can't repro it there. Apparently it's gotten fixed. Hopefully that means that
when the next version comes out, it won't have this problem.

Thanks very much for reporting it.

Thanks for having a look at this issue.

BTW, another 29 Euros bugfix-upgrade will be appreciated. ;-)
