Hi John,

Would you please give us more information about this, do you mean the task
list will not popup automatically as expected?

Can you repro this case with any other projects, it appears the VS.NET IDE
getting an unhandled exception cause itself to shut down while building
that project. Have you installed any Add-in to your VS.NET IDE?
Thanks!
Best regards,
Gary Chang

Hi Gary,
I think I found a hotfix that seems to apply to the build problem at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;829606,
titled Visual Studio .NET 2003 IDE Quits Unexpectedly When You Build a Large
Visual Basic Solution.
With regards to the task list, I can see the task list tab next to the
output tab, but it will not pop-up in response to mouse move or mouse click
events. The output tab works just fine.

That's great John. I am glad to know you have already found the
corresponding hotfix to this product issue, good luck:)
Have a nice weekend!
