Has anyone experienced very slow saves while programming?  I can't seem to
get around it but each time files are saved (prior to building) it takes
about 5-10 seconds beforehand....  It's really annoying and was wondering if
there is any way to speed it up?

Thanks,
Jeff

I have noticed that VS 2005 is slower than VS.NET 2003 in several aspects.
It seems that some of them are solved adding more memory (512 MB is not
enough). Not sure if saving files can be speeded up.

I'm running on a decent system actually (Dell XPS Gen 2 Laptop w/1Gig of
RAM) and there is still problems saving.  Opening up files is fine... it is
just the saving prior to a build that takes 5-10 seconds... It is very odd
to say the least...  Also, WHEN it seems to be doing something in memory
because there is NO hard drive noise within the initial 5-8 seconds.... like
it hangs for most of that time...

Has anyone experienced THAT?

Thanks,
- Jeff
