IDE macros do not work

Hello all;

I have very strange problem - macros do not work in VS NET 2003 EA on my
Windows 2003 SP1 machine.

When I try to run any macro, playback icons flashes but nothing happens (IDE
displays no error messages).
Debugging macro also does not work - I can set breakpoint but when running
macro in debug mode the program does not break on the breakpoint.

I tried to remove VS.NET and then install it again - the same result.
I also tried different user accounts (domain and local) - the same result.
Filemon and regmon logs do not contain any unusual 'access denied' or 'file
not found' entries.

Has anybody any ideas?

Regards,
Maxim Maslov

Hi Maxim,

We have a newgroup thread which discuss this problem before: when macros
happens not to be executed in the VS.NET 2003 IDE, the root cause may be
the MSCORLIB.TLB has somehow been unregistered on your system. This can be
caused by someone inadvertently including/deplioying MSCORLIB.TLB with
their addin or other project, and then subsquently unregistering it during
an uninstall.

For the detailed information about this problem and its solution. lease
refer to the following newsgroup thread link:

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
