Lost Solution Explorer Pane

I use VSNET 2003. In my IDE I used to have a docked window at the right side
that had Solution Explorer and Class tabs for the upper are and Properties
in the lower area. I suspect I clicked or drag something because now, the
upper pane in that right hand window is just the Class list - no solution
explorer. I can open Solution explorer but it opens full screen. How can I
get solution explorer back in that right hand window?

That brings it back as a full window. How do I get it back as part of the
control window on the right?

How about this :

double-click on blue header of you "Solution Explorer" window - this should
place it in right place

Not if the window isn't set as dockable or if VS.NET had been shut down with
the window out of position.

Thanks Scott - that was easy! When I try to manually dock windows it never
ends up the way I planned. This is just what I needed

There are a couple of tricks to getting docking via drag and drop to work.
Once you've got them down, it's a snap.

When you drag a window around keep an eye on the border that shows you where
the window will wind up.  When you see the border "snap" to a different
shape, you have entered a spot that if you let go, the window will dock to
the main IDE in that size/position.

If you want a window to be docked so that it is "tabbed" next to another
window, drag the window until the tip of the mouse touches the title bar of
the window you want it to be tabbed next to.  You'll see that border "snap"
to a shape that shows a tab at the bottom.

Scott;

Thanks for the education. I'll give those tips a try.
