I developed an add-in to VS.NET 2003 many moons ago/ It works for wast number
of users, however, a number of user have reported the following behaviour
which I cannot explain why it is happening. I would be greatful if anyone
give me a clue as to where to look.

Behaviour:
1. Uncheck all the checkboxes in the 'Available Add-Ins' list from the
Add-In Manager to unload the Add-In
2. The Add-in is unloaded and all the add-in related items (menus, toolbars,
toolwindow etc) disappear from the IDE as expected
3. Immediately after the add-in is unloaded, it re-loads itself again and
the checkbox in the Available Add-Ins is tocked!

Users are not able to unlaod my Add-In.

Hi,

It is a bug of VS.NET. I have documented a few of them on my web site:

http://www.mztools.com/articles.htm

Yours is:

BUG: Add-in reloaded after unloaded in Visual Studio .NET.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;555149

There is another circumstance that can cause the same effect: if add-ins
toolbars share the same row. See the whole discussion:

Hi Carlos,

Thank you very very much. My problem is the combination of Toolbar and
CommandBar issues discussed in the links that you provided. I am now working
on a solution.

I do appreciate you finding the time to point me to the answer. I have been
scratching my head for a very long time.

You have a good website, which I have added to my favorites.

Thanks,
Joginder
