When I startup my vs .net 2003, I encountered an "MS Development Environment
has not been installed for the current user. Please run setup to install the
application". I searched the MSDN, there is an article says that this is a
but in VS .NET 2003 beta 1, but my version is not a beta version, but a
release version, its number is 7.10.3077.0. WHY? And very curious is, before
this error happened, I used vs .net 2003 for about 2 weeks.

The same problem happened to my OFFICE 2003, at first, it worked well, but
about 1 week, when I started WORD 2003, the error message "office has not
been installed for the current user" error appeared. I didn't remeber which
of my application causes the problem, because I installed many programs on my
computer.

Thanks for reply!

Hello,
I have the EXACT same problems. Both on VS.Net 2003 and with office 2003
except that in office it is Access that puts out the "office has not been
installed for the current user" error. Nothing I have tried has worked.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does nothing. I check the registry for a key
that was supposed to be removed, but I could not find that key. This also
started just recently (within the last 3 weeks) and I am starting to
wonder if this is possibly the result of a virus. In any case, were you
able to solve the problem? I would greatly appreciate receiving a solution
to this really frustrating problem. And I have not seen anything from
Microsoft about this.
