The context menu for a data connection in the server explorer tab for a co
worker doesn't give him the option to generate create scripts to populate
his database project. Why?

thanks

Hi,

> The context menu for a data connection in the server explorer tab for a
co worker doesn't give him the option to generate create scripts to
populate his database project.

Do you mean the "Generate Create Scripts..."  option is disabled?

If so, it could be caused by several reasons:
1.The VS.NET 2003 is not the Enterprise edition. The PRO edition only allow
generating create scripts against MSDE databases.

2.The machine doesn't install the SQL Client tools, it is necessary to
enable that feature in Visual Studio.

3.The Database is not the SQL Server 2000 or 7.0.

Thanks for your understanding!

You can find the full product name of VS.NET 2003 in the Control
Panel-->Add/Remove Programs...

Thanks!

By the way,

The target database should have an object(e.g. a table) at least...

Thanks!
