VS.NET 2K3

How about letting the IDE have some respect for the developer?

I wish to create a VC++ project.

Specifically, I have an existing directory.  For our purposes, we will
call it C:\BigProject.

I wish to create a project C:\BigProject\Subproject.vcproj.

However, the IDE assumes I don't know what I really want and insists
that new projects be created in C:\BigProject\Subproject\Subproject.vcproj.

The only workaround I have found is let the IDE have its way, then move
the vcproj file where I want it.

Most of the times you will want a new folder for your new project, but
certainly if you want to reuse some existing folder VS.NET is annoying, it
should use an editable control for the full location. I think there is no
other workaround apart from the one that you are using.
