Hi --

First off let me stat that I have a legit copy of .NET here.

Few days agao I decided to reimage my machine.  Windows XP was installed on
my machine prior but I decided to install Windows Server 2003 Enterprise
Edition on it.  After installing  .NET 7.1.3088 on my system I went to
activate my product but received this message ...

"
According to our records, this copy of Visual Studio .NET Academic 2003 -
English has already been activated on the maximum number of computers allowed.
"

Since I bought my copy legitally here last year I have only installed it on
the same computer 2 or 3 times already prior to the reinstallation earlier in
the week.  Hey, what can I say but I do a lot of experimenting on my computer
and sometimes bad things happen :)

Anyways, what I want to know is if there is a known activation limit, and
what are my options here to resolve this matter?  I know for a fact that no
one else has my unique serial number because I keep it underneath my matress
which is underneath a big ton acme anvil :)

Thanks for any suggestions here and any input given.

I'm not sure about the activation limit, but you appear to have reached it.
I suggest you contact Microsoft by telephone (use the activate by phone
option to get the number) then follow the process to get a live person on
the line.
