There seems to be a major flaw in the design of VS .NET.
The problem is that I cannot setup a project that
references other components (assemblies) that will work in
both release and debug builds.
When we build our NET components we have both release and
debug builds. In our apps we want to reference the debug
versions in debug builds and the release version in
release builds.
However, VS NET only allows one path to the references for
both release and debug configurations! How am I suppose
to get this to work?

Hi Dave,
I replied the same question in another thread as following:
You are right , the IDE is not able to smartly choose the build version if
you are using binary reference, butthe Project reference could help you
workaround this probleme. Add the component project to the same solution
where your application project is hosted, then you can choose the build
version in the Solution Property dialog.
