Anyone know of any articles or have a quick how-to on generating a digital
certificate for SSL testing on our development sites? I don't need it to be
Authentic I just need it to test the SSL. I assume that there is a way to
generate them on 2000 or 2003 server?

Thanks

John

Here is a short "How to" on this subject:
     http://pages.istar.ca/~neutron/feature/SSLCapicom
Demonstrates using  makecert.exe (tool in many SDKs) to generate an SSL server cert.

Also demonstrates enabling and accessing client-authentication certs via ASP.NET:

Hi John,

I recommend you install and configure a Microsoft Certificate Server to
achieve this. Please refer to the following KB article for detailed
information:

HOW TO: Implement SSL on a Windows 2000 IIS 5.0 Computer

Hope this helps.
