Technet is dedicated to OS and server tools.

To get VS, you need to subscribe to MSDN.

hi eric,

ok, thank you.
msdn would have been my next choice, but for some reason i thought i saw a
list of what's on the technet cd and thought i saw visual studio.

i posted another message about visual studio, that i'm hoping that you can
shed some light on.
I was reading about the LINQ project
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/ref/linq/)  and saw a reference to Visual
Basic 9. Would this be the next version of Visual Studio to be released?
I could not tell when this would be released. I'm hoping that someone could
give be a good "guess" of when it would be available?

i'm not looking for an exact date because i know that hasn't been set yet.
i'm looking more along the lines of whether or not it would be released in
2007.

thanks again.

The next version of VB (code name Orcas) as no release date announced but it
won't be 2007 for sure.
