Next version of EIF?

I was disappointed to read this blog and the comment about the upcoming
Enterprise Library and the fact that it was dropping a dependency on EIF.

I have not used the Enterprise Library yet nor read the documentation so I
am not sure about this statement. I sure hope that this does not signal the
end of EIF and that someone from Microsoft can comment.

Don't be disappointed.  The new Logging block is a significant improvement.
EIF will still remain available for download.  If you're doing lots of WMI
stuff, you probably should continue to use EIF.
