Hey all,

I hope someone out there can help or point me in the right direction.  I'm
doing some system BIOS development and the project I'm using requires the
following tools:

masm v51.0A
link v5.01.20
ml.exe v6.11
nmake v1.20

I have NO control over this and must use these tools to get the project to
build but I can't seem to find them anywhere.  Does anyone know where or how
I can acquire them?

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Have you tried EBAY?
Interesting that the code would require both MASM 5.1 and 6.11.
One would hope that the code could be easily modified to assemble
in MASM 5.1 mode under MASM 6.
Cheers,

Wow, I'd love to find a copy of MASM 5.1 -- it came with my all-time
favorite text editor.  I'm going hunting... let you know if I find anything.

Hi All.

I have masm 5.10 & matching linker in a zip. This site won't let me post it (too
large), but I'll send it (and the password) if you still want it. Let me know.

Pete.

Hey, Pete!  That would be awesome.  Does it have the editor too?  My
email address works if you remove the specified parts.  Thanks!

Hi All,

I have masm 5.10 & matching linker.
I tried to post, but the zip is too big.
Let me know if you still want them & I'll email them to you.
Pete.

Hi all.
I have masm 5.10 & linker.
Let me know if you still want them & I'll email a zip.
Can't post (too big).
Pete.

Drat!
Sorry about the three nearly-the-same posts just now.
I hadn't realised that the message with the zip in it (rejected as too large)
was in my outbox all the time, so I thought my repeated attempts were each being
rejected in turn! Duh!
OK, OK, It's late night here & I've had a hard day... Well that's my excuse
anyway.
Regards, a somewhat dozy Pete.

masm 5.10A is the version that shipped with the Windows 3.1 DDK.
You can get this kit with the 'MSDN Platform Archive', which you can order
from Microsoft if you take the correct MSDN subscription.

regards, Matt
