Most of the other application blocks published by Microsoft include the
source code that makes up the application block. Is there any plans on
making the source code for the EIF available?

EIF isn't an application block; it's much more akin to software releases
like the .NET Framework, ADO/MDAC, etc. An application block is a release
including source code which you need to build as part of your app. EIF is
intended to be immediately functional after installation, as well as
extended in specific ways (like custom event schemas and event sinks).

PS: I missed this post initially; probably a good idea to put EIF somewhere
in the title.
