Yes.
Just select "Add Connection" on the Data Connections node.
Supply the server name, instance name (if used), user name and password.

it's not working , my remote SQl Server is at 68.65.85.69
it seems I can only add connection localy. what am I doing

I am not sure what the problem is, perhaps the following suggestions may
help.
1) Make sure you have permission to access the SQLServer.
2) Can you ping the machine? ping 68.65.85.69
3) Do you have the server location correct / doesnt the server have a name?
4) Does the server have an instance name? If so then you should attempt to
connect to the server in the following way: 68.65.85.69\<instance name>
It really sounds like you should speak to your administrator.
