I have a custom UI Type Editor that is invoked from the Properties grid
embedded in Visual studio. The object that it displays the properties of,
are shown in a custom file editor and add via
TrackSelection.OnSelectChange(). When more then one object is selected, the
custom UI Editor EditValue() function receives NULL as the value. How can I
find out what objects are selected? Someone suggested using the
IServiceProvider to get an ISelectionContainer, but this does not work (the
value is null).

Hi Bill,

I noticed one of our team members has worked on the same issue in the
design-time group several weeks ago, he  gave you a clear clarification on
this problem and also provided some suggestion, does it not meet your needs?

This issue appears to be more like a design-time problem than the VSIP one,
however I will consult our product team member and reply you as soon as
possible...

Thanks for your understanding!

Best regards,

Hi Bill,

I have consulted the our product team member, it appears my colleague
Yin-Shen Yu's answer and suggestion on this issue have no problem.

We suggest you can have a try on Yin-Shen's workaround.

Thanks for your understanding!

Best regards,
