As irritating as it is to see X-Posting, I forgot to add this group ...
sorry, but I do want to post to this group as well, the same problem...hope
y'all don't mind <waits for tomatoes to be thrown>

<blink>

Adding a new named command and still need to know how to open the "Add New
Item" dialog with the proper item selected.  If you select the
"Project->Add->Add Class" it opens the "Add New Item" dialog with the Class
file selected.  Same with "Project->Add->Add Module", the Module file is
selected.  How can I do the same thing but with a custom wizard or custom
file?

I know how I can open the dialog, and I know how to create the context
menus, but what I don't know is how to open the "Add New Item" dialog with
the file I want selected, selected.

Can anyone out there help please?

Thanks,

Mythran

Hey,
did you find any solution to your problem. I tried recording a macro
performing the following operations
File->new->change the selected file to some other file.

now the third event, changing the selected file, did not have any
corresponding event registered.(edit macro- VBA code).
so i'm also stuck with this issue. I have two custom file types and i want
to implement the same thing your looking for.

Please post if u have any solution

thx

Nay, quite a few of my posts have gone unanswered in this forum.
