Hi,

Could you please tell me where can i find a complete list of icons build in
VS so i can use them in my add in - i dont want to use any external icons.
I would like to know their IDs and how they look so i can use them in this
code:

command = commands.AddNamedCommand(addInInstance, "AddHeader",
"Add Header", "Adds header to current document", true, IDIDIDID, ref
contextGUIDS, (int)vsCommandStatus.vsCommandStatusSupported +
(int)vsCommandStatus.vsCommandStatusEnabled);

Ive read on msdn about some resource dll located in 1033 english
localization dir but when i try to resource explore them i find only about 15
icons in total

Thank you.

Download the companion content of the book "Inside Microsoft Visual Studio
.NET 2003" and search the Chapter 7 samples, something like CommandUIBmps:

It's a mush have book, I recommend you to buy a copy.

Thanks for the book ;) it's great.
It's name should be shown for every user registering for this group ;)

But there is only some info about adding custom bitmaps in satelite dll.
I want to use build in icon but i dont know how they look like and iterating
by all of them is impossible. I have even downloaded some resource (icon)
exploring programs but dont know in which dlls VS's icons are. I've tried all
dlls in 1033 folder.

Do u know the names of dlls that contain the most count of VS icons?

Somewhere in the samples of same chapter there is an HTML page that shows
all the built-in bitmaps with their IDs. It is really handy, so check it
again...

I second that. I have a copy and would've not been able to get this
far without it. I hope we'll see VS.NET 2005 version of the same book
eventually. Having VSIP topic covered would be great too.
