Setting the New File Icon for a VSIP Editor

How can I set the icon to be me own one when I open a new file for my editor
(Ctrl+N).  At the moment it just shows a defult icon,  I've tried putting the
icon in the C# editor project and also in the C++ editor UI project but the
icon just stays the same.  I know I'm missing something but I can't see it.
The Figures Package Editor is written in C++ so I can see that they've
included it in the resource editor but I can't see where the project tells
VSIP to use that icon instead of the default.  Any ideas?

Further to this I've found that if I create a VSIP editor project from
scratch and in the wizard I set the package and file icon to my own custom
icons then it still doesn't show my icon in the New File dialog.  IT looks
like it's actually showing a default VSIP icon.  I tried using an extension
that was completely unique to make sure the mime type wasn't screwing up (and
I have also booted the machine as well) but nothing seems to make a
difference.  I can't believe that it's the VSIP setup as the wizard would
have worked but, stopping short of using a hammer on the damm thing, I'm out
of ideas...

Anyone?
