VS2005 and MSBUILD

Oh dear,

I'm afraid that I'm becoming very dissapointed with VS2005. I thought it
would be quite a straightforward matter to specify a different platform and
tool chain for performing cross compilation. However, this does not seem to
be the case.

From an earlier post I've had three suggestions to perform the above.

1. Write a custom makefile and add/remove files by hand. Kind of defeats the
object of the IDE.
2. Use MSBUILD. Ah nearly, but MSBUILD doesn't support C++, also the VS2005
IDE thinks that a .csproj is a C# project.
3. Write a custom extension. Which is going to take me far too long.

Basically it looks like it's a real struggle. Is there any other way I can
achieve the above? Are there any third party add-ins to achieve the above?

Regards,

Bob

I use vsbuild without much fanfare, or problem
-- there's nothing special about it, but for
cli/scripted (batch) makes, it works for me.
